Pam serves as the Division Manager for the Community Schools Division of Columbus Parks & Recreation where she oversees the day to day operations of 26 After- School Programs and two federal grants.  She is originally from New York City and obtained her undergraduate degree in Physical Education - Sports Administration and Dance from Jacksonville Uniersity in Florida.  Pam joined Parks & Recreation in 2008 as a Recreation Specialist II and moved up to serve as the Therapeutic Recreation Program Supervisor for four years before relocating to the D.C. area.  She returned to the department as Division Manager for Community Schools in 2018.  Pam is also a Certified Mental Haelth First Aid Instructor and Group Fitness Instructor.  She has one daughter and enjoys spending time with family and friends, fine arts, outdoor adventures, volunteering, learning and trying new things. 


 

 
TC Bodiford
Northside Recreation Center


TC Bodiford comes to Northside Recreation Center from Calvary Christian School where he spent the last 2 years teaching Middle School P.E. and working in the Athletic Department as the Athletic Event Manager. TC was raised in Columbus and graduated from Calvary Christian School in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry Studies from The Baptist College of Florida and is currently working on a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and Master of Religious Education from Liberty University. He lives in Columbus with his wife who is in the Nursing Program at Columbus Tech. TC has a passion for the city of Columbus and the youth of this great city. When he is not at the Rec Center he more than likely can be found in Auburn cheering on the Tigers or in Atlanta watching the best sports teams in the country. (His opinion of course) 
 

 
Quenton Brantley
Aquatic Division Manager


Quenton is the Aquatic Division Manager for the Columbus Aquatic Center. He has lived in Columus all his life and graduated from Columbus State University with a B.S. in Health Science. When he is not working he enjoys going to the gym and running in his spare time. Quenton has been working in aquatics for the last 6 years.

Holli Browder is the Director of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department. Formerly Assistant Director of the department, Mrs. Browder was the Recreation Services Division Manager from 2011-2013. As Recreation Services Division Manager she was responsible for and managed the staff, budget, and facility operations for the overall administration of the City's Recreation Services Division. The Recreation Services Division is comprised of the City's Recreation Centers, Senior Centers, Cultural Arts/Britt David Studios, and the area of Therapeutics. Mrs. Browder began working from the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department in April of 2002 and prior to working in Columbus was an employee for the Phenix City Parks and Recreation Department where she was an athletic superintendent. 

Mrs. Browder holds a BA in Communications from Columbus State University and holds the certification of a CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional). She has been a NYSCA (National Youth Sports Coaches Association) clinician since 1999. She is also a very active member of the GRPA (Georgia Recreation and Parks Association) and is a past member of the ARPA (Alabama Recreation and Parks Association). She is married to Tim Browder and is the proud mother to two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching and playing sports, and enjoys being outdoors. 
 

 
Cleotis Brown
29th Street Recreation Center

Cleotis Brown is the Center Director for the 29th Street Recreation Center. He is a native of Pittsview, Alabama and attended college at the University of Illinois with a major in Business Communications. After graduating, Cleotis was a professional basketball player with a career spanning over 14 years, mostly oversees. He has worked in parks and recreation for the past 3 years with Phenix City Parks and Recreation as an Assistant Coordinator. He enjoys playing basketball in his leisure time and working with teens. 

 
Kwame Brown

Kwame Brown is the Center Director of Carver Park Recreation Center. He has worked with the city for 15 years. He received a degree in Recreation Administration in 1995 from Savannah State College. There he developed his love for working in the community and dealing with the "at risk" youth. While at Savanna State College, he was one of the leaders for the NYSP (National Youth Sports Program). Before leaving Savanna, Kwame developed the first Boot Camp for the Regional Youth Detention Center in the city. The boot camp provided morale and discipline to a facility that was on the verge of collapsing. In 1996, he returned to Columbus, GA and was hired as a Recreation Specialist I for many of the recreation centers throughout the city. 
 

 
Sharon Calhoun

Sharon Calhoun is the Center Director at Fluellen and has 3 children and 1 granddaughter. She has been working for the City of Columbus Parks and Recreation and Community Schools Department combined together for 20+ years. Sharon is a graduate from Jordan High School and played on the first ever girls basketball team to reach the state championship. She is also a basketball coach /motivator of sports and loves it. Sharons' hobbies are enjoying her children and grandbaby, walking, going to church, reading and studying the Bible. 
 

 
Enrique "Rick" Carrillo

Mr. Carrillo has worked for Columbus Parks and Recreation for the past 12 years, serving in the capacity of Activity Leader, Concessionaire for Aquatics, and in his current position of Recreation Center Leader for our Recreation Services Division. Coach Carrillo is responsible for training and managing the Columbus Boxing Team. Coach Rick has been coaching boxing for 26 years and has traveled all over the USA with different teams. Two of his boxers completed in the Olympics tryouts, as well as, over thirty-five Golden Glove Champions and over twenty-five Junior Olympics Champions. The Columbus Boxing Team competes in the Georgia Amateur Boxing Association, Inc. The Georgia Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) is a local boxing committee (LBC) of the USA Boxing Organization. Coach Carrillo serves as Second Vice President on the board. In 2007 the Department had the pleasure of witnessing Coach Carrillo being inducted into the Georgia Amateur Boxing Hall of Fame. Coach Carrillo lends his expertise to the sport by serving as Head Coach for Georgia Traveling Boxing Team where the boxers compete on a National Level. A native of Bronx, New York, Mr. Carrillo has been happily married for 34 years to Linda Carrillo. He has 5 sons and thirteen grandkids. 
 

 
Cathy Dean

Cathy Dean is the center director of the Fox Community Center. Cathy began working with Columbus Parks and Recreation in 2008 as a part time employee at Edgewood Sr. Center. After three years she transferred to Frank Chester Senior Center where she was a full time Recreation Leader. Cathy then moved backed to Edgewood Sr. Center where she worked as the director for a short period of time before being promoted to a Recreation Specialist III and the director of the Fox Community Center. Cathy is married and has one child. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and working in the yard and gardening.

Patty Glaser is the Employment Coordinator for the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department. Patty is a native of Columbus, GA and a 1977 graduate of Kendrick High School. She has been with Columbus Consolidated since 2008, starting at METRA Transit as Office Manager and then moving to Parks and Recreation as Employment Coordinator. Patty enjoys spending time with her family and wonderful Grandkids, loves reading and going camping with her husband. 
 

 
Becky Glisson, CPRP

Becky is the Assistant Director and is responsible for assisting with planning and implementing short-term or annual goals, objectives, and strategies for the department. She is also responsible for managing the daily operations of the department as related to work flow, policies and procedures. She began her career in 1996 as the Administrative Assistant to the Director and worked her way up through the department in various positions with the last position being the Department Finance Manager. Becky holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Troy University. She also holds a CPRP Certification (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) and a is a certified CPO (Certified Pool Operator).

Becky has a daughter that is currently attending law school in Texas and she enjoys spending time with her family and fur-babies.
 
Tommy Groce

Tommy is the Parks Services/Athletics Division Manager and oversees the budget for Park Services, Refuse, Golden Park, A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium, and Athletics. The Park Services division maintains approximately 60 park areas consisting of active and passive areas of recreation. This consists of approximately 2,000 acres of Park Land and Athletic Facilities. Tommy holds a Bachelor's Degree from Troy University in General Business. He began with the City in March of 1993 as a seasonal employee as a Pool Supervisor. In August of 1993, he became full time as an Athletic Program Supervisor until March 1999 when he was promoted to Athletic Program Manager. In 2004, he was promoted to the Park Services Division Manager. In 2008, the Athletic Division was also put under his supervision. Tommy has two married sons, ages 31 and 28, and three grandchildren. Tommy spends his spare time playing golf, reading, and spending time with family.
 

 
Joy Hendrix

Joy has been employed with the Columbus Consolidated Government for 34 years. In 1977, she started working at the Lakebottom Tennis Courts. After many years at the tennis courts, she moved to the Double Churches Recreation Center. Currently, Joy is the Director of the Frank Chester Senior Center, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center.
 

 
Melinda Hull

Melinda Hull is from Eufaula Alabama. She lived there until she graduated from High School in 1973 and moved out west to attend college. She attended Brigham Young University Idaho, Brigham Young University Provo, and University of Texas El Paso. Melinda worked all over the west in Hotels as Food and Beverage management until she came back to Georgia in 1994 and in 1996 began teaching High School Art. Melinda recently retired from teaching and was the Art Teacher at Columbus High for 17 of her 21 year teaching career. She began a new career with the city as the Cultural Arts Director July 2018. Melinda is married to Ken Hull and have a daughter Hillary. We love to go to the movies, grill outside, and go antique shopping. 
 

 
Sharon Hunter

Sharon Hunter has been promoted to the Center Director of the Shirley Winston Recreation Center. She is originally from Washington, D.C and currently resides in Opelika, Alabama. Sharon has worked within the City of Opelika, Parks and Recreation Dept. for almost ten years assisting in its' Pre-K, Seniors, Athletic, and Annual Programs. Sharon currently holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree at Troy University. Sharon is married to Alvin Payne and has two daughters Ebony and Anita. She enjoys spending time,vacationing, and participating in game night with her family.
 

 
Christelle Johnson

Christelle Johnson is the director of Edgewood Senior Center. She began her time with Parks and Recreation under the Community Schools Division as a site supervisor. Christelle Johnson has worked a total of 12 years with Columbus Parks and Recreation. She is married and a mother of three lovely children. In her leisure, Christelle enjoys shopping and meeting new people.

Billy Lee is an Aquatics Facility Supervisor. Mr. Lee is primarily responsible for all aspects of maintenance in all four of the City’s seasonal outdoor pools as well as the Columbus Aquatic Center. He is a graduate of Harris County High School and a 2016 graduate of Columbus Technical College where he received a professional diploma in both Machine Tool Technology and CNC Technology. Mr. Lee earned his Aquatic Facility Operator certification in March 2017 and his Certified Pool Operator certification in April 2017. He is a veteran of the United States Navy in which he served 11 years. He started in his current position with the Columbus Parks and Recreation in February of 2017. 
 

 
Matt Lensch

Matt Lensch is the Aquatics Program Supervisor for Columbus Ga Parks and Recreation. He has been working poolside for 13 years in various types of jobs, and loves the field very much. He is an outgoing person who enjoys communicating with our patrons and fellow staff. When he is not working on the pools, he is at home taking care of his many animals which include: horses, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, cats, dogs, parrots, geckos and a python. 
 
Tim Marshall

Tim is a former U.S. Army officer (Field Artillery Captain). He is a graduate of Kemper Military Academy, Booneville, MO and also studied at Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL. He served in numerous positions of leadership during his military career. Assignments included Ft. McClelland, AL, Ft. Sill, OK, Ft. Benning, GA, South Korea and Turkey. Additional duties included Morale Support Officer (MSO) in the Southern European Task Force (SETAF) which involved recreational programming for military personnel in Turkey and Vicenza, Italy. Also served in a similar capacity at Camp Stanley in South Korea. While assigned to Ft. Benning, he was actively involved in local youth sports, both as a coach and league administrator. Tim formed an active community coed youth sports program/club in Anniston, AL during his tour of duty at Ft. McClelland. This effort was supported by the City of Anniston Parks and Recreation Department. He volunteered at 29th Street Gym for several years before becoming employed with Columbus Consolidated Government. He served two terms as a board member of Columbus Youth Football and served as a volunteer with the Phenix City Housing Authority's Youth Sports Program for over 15 years. Tim worked as the Director of the Calvin B. Spencer Recreation Center in Phenix City for five years. He is a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) and he is a NCAA- certified coach. He is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Tim serves as the "voice" of A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium (P.A. Announcer), Muscogee County School District athletic events, Georgia High School Association (GHSA), and the Lady Wings semi-professional basketball team. He is an active volunteer at Mother Mary School and Phenix-Russell Youth Center. Tim is a member of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church and is married to the former Sadie Harper and is the father of four children.
 
Bryant McKissic
Boxwood Recreation Center

Bryant McKissic is the new director of Boxwood Recreation Center. He is a native of Phenix City, Alabama. He received a Division I scholarship to play football at Troy University. While attending Troy University, Bryant received a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness management with a minor in recreation. He worked 6 years with Phenix City Parks and Recreation as the Assistant Center Coordinator and as the Assistant League Director for youth basketball and track and field. McKissic spends his spare time coaching youth sports and giving back to the kids in the community. Mckissic is also the President of a nonprofit organization called The Mckissic Foundation, where he helps families who are in need. As a member of Columbus Parks and Recreation, he plans to take on any challenges to help change lives by providing quality recreational services to the Boxwood community. Bryant Mckissic is married to his wife Sherdarria and has three children.

I am a born and raised Columbus native. I am married to my beautiful wife Crystal who is a K-5 teacher. We have two boys, Evan and Charlie. We recently purchased land and will be moving to Hatchechubbee, AL. We are a family that loves hunting, fishing and farm animals, all which we will be able to enjoy at our new home. My wife and I both play rec league softball and both boys play football and baseball. I have been with Columbus since 2008 and still enjoy my involvement with the department. I have recently started back at Troy University after a short twenty year break from college. I am on track to graduate with a degree in psychology in December of 2019. My schedule is busy but my life is full and enjoyable. 
 
Carson Revell

Carson supervises the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Division of Columbus Parks and Recreation. He manages adult softball, basketball, and volleyball recreation leagues, as well as helping coordinate various youth and adult tournaments held at Parks and Recreation facilities. He serves as a department liaison to District 8 Little League and the Columbus Youth Football League. Carson has lived in Columbus all of his life and graduated from Hardaway High School in 2002. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Columbus State University. Carson started working with the Parks and Recreation Department as a part-time employee in the Community Schools Division in July 2001 and he has been in the Athletic Division since August 2006. Carson enjoys playing numerous sports in his free time and is an avid fan of the University of Georgia.
 

 
Mark Ruzeski

Mark supervises the day-to-day operations of Cooper Creek Tennis Center. Cooper Creek si the largest public clay court facility in the Untied States and hosts several major tournaments per year. Mark is a 1988 Graduate of Kendrick High School and a 1993 Parks and Recreation Administration graduate of Columbus College. He has been employed with the Parks and Recreation Department for over 20 years. He started his career with the after school program the year it was created and began working at Cooper Creek Tennis Center in May of 1994. He has been the Tournament Director of over 50 tennis tournaments from 1996 - 2009. Mark enjoys playing tennis (of course!) and anything North Carolina University.
 
Teresa Snellings

Teresa has worked for Columbus Parks and Recreation for the past 21 years, serving in the capacity of Concession Manager at the Municipal Auditorium, Box Office Manager for the Columbus Civic Center and in her current position of Recreation Division Manager. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Georgia Southwestern College and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management Degree from Troy State University. She is a Columbus Consolidated Government Peer Award recipient, a Columbus Consolidated Government Proudly Serving Progress Award recipient, a Distinguish Service Award employee of the year for the department, and she has also received the National Tourism Excellence Award presented by the Columbus Convention Bureau. Teresa spends her spare time reading, drawing, playing various sporting activities and spending time with family and friends. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 
 
Shajra Thrasher

Shajra has worked with Columbus Department of Parks and Recreation since October 2014 and is the supervisor for the Therapeutic Recreation program at Pop Austin Recreation Center. She is a Georgia native, originally from Henry County. She began working with Henry County Parks and Recreation Department and later worked at a residential treatment facility for at-risk youth as a Teacher/Counselor. Shajra has a Bachelors degree in Film and Video with a minor in Speech Communication from Georgia State University. She received her Master's in Public Administration from Devry's Keller Graduate School of Management. Shajra has a passion for community development and working in an area where she can assist others in reaching their goals. Shajra loves to spend time with family, volunteer within the community, and play recreational kickball. 

 

 
Lauren Vance

She has a  Master's Degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Troy University.  Lauren is also a 2016 graduate of the Columbus Consolidated Government Leadership Development Program. Vickey A. Williams

Vickey is the Center Director of Psalmond Road Recreation Center. She moved to Columbus, GA in 1978. She Graduated from West Georgia College (University of West Georgia) in 1992 with a BA in Mass Communication and an AA in Psychology. Upon Graduation, she began working with Parks and Recreation through the Columbus Housing Authority. In 1996, she returned to Parks and Recreation working in the recreation Division. After working at various sites, she became the Center Director for Shirley Winston Recreation Center until she was moved to her current location.
